Our Leadership Team

Executive Chairman

Andile Ngcaba

Andile Ngcaba is the Executive Chairman for inq. with a focus on providing top-level leadership to the inq. group executives. He is also the controlling shareholder and non-executive Chairman of Convergence Partners.

He has participated on ICT decision-making forums and has influenced the formation of various African forums and organisations responsible for shaping the ICT sector at National, Continental and Global levels through his activities on various bodies including the ITU, ICANN and the African Union.

In his international organisational activities, Andile served on the Board and High-level Panel (serving as the business sector chair) responsible for the outcomes of the Netmundial multi-stakeholder conference on Internet governance, hosted by the Brazilian government in April 2014. He also serves on the council of The National Advisory Council on Innovation (NACI). The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University appointed him as an Adjunct Professor of the University, affiliated to the faculty of science.

Group Chief Technology Officer

NARESH THUKKANI

Naresh Thukkani is a highly accomplished and results-driven professional with extensive experience in technology leadership, product architecture, management, development, and consulting across Cloud, Networking, AI, and DevOps domains. He has a proven track record of driving innovation and building disruptive, high-performance, and scalable products, bringing them to market successfully. Naresh thrives in team-oriented environments, fostering collaboration to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Prior to inq., Naresh held a leadership role at a dynamic startup, Criterion Networks, overseeing a diverse portfolio of products aimed at accelerating clients' digital transformation in areas such as SD-WAN, SDN/NFV, 5G, IoT, Cloud, and Edge Computing. His comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies and market trends enabled him to drive innovation and deliver transformative solutions to clients. During his tenure at Cisco, Naresh made significant contributions to product development in critical domains, including Metro Ethernet, Enterprise Routing, Switching, and Security. His exceptional skills in design, validation, and customer engagement resulted in numerous successes and accolades.

Naresh is passionate about open source technologies and actively represents the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) in international forums. He has co-authored SDN Migration and OpenFlow test specifications and contributed to professional certifications for SDN/NFV by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) and the ONF OCSA certification program.

Naresh holds a Master's degree in Communications from IIT Bombay and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications.

Regional Managing Director Zambia and Botswana

Duncan Pie

Duncan Pie is the Regional Managing Director responsible for inq. Botswana and Zambia.
He is an experienced professional with over 25 years of experience in financial services, IT,
and telecoms, covering strategy, product development, sales, people management, and
executive management. Companies he has worked for include Microsoft, Botswana Telecoms, and Dimension Data. Duncan has a bachelor's degree in economics and accounting from the University of Botswana, an MDP from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, and a Global Executive Program from GIBS. While Duncan is a dedicated professional, he also values his personal life. He is a family man, married with two daughters, and finds joy in his hobbies of running, camping, and photography. These interests not only provide him with a much-needed break from his professional responsibilities but also reflect his disciplined and adventurous nature.
Group Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Human Capital Officer

Rayan Peters

As the Group Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Human Capital Officer , Rayan will lead the group's financial strategy and reporting, ensure financial compliance, and oversee the financial functions of the entire Group.

Rayan brings a wealth of experience and expertise in Finance and Leadership, having held executive positions in the Telco distribution space and served on various Boards of Directors.

Rayan has an Honours degree in BCom Accounting Sciences from the University of Pretoria and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Business Administration at Henley Business School Africa.

Group Chief Operations Officer

Tshepo Maloma

As the Group Chief Operating Officer at inq., Tshepo Maloma assumes a critical role in overseeing the operational aspects of the group's digital transformation strategy. He focuses on end-to-end business process optimisation to facilitate data-driven operations and defines the Go-To-Market, sales, and marketing strategy across all inq. businesses. With a wealth of experience, Tshepo previously served as the Head of Telecommunications at Transnet for six years, where he played a pivotal role in developing the current telecommunications strategy, leading to the successful deployment of DWDM-based OTN, IP, and SDN networks. Tshepo started his career as an Engineer-in-Training at Eskom and later joined MTN as a Systems Engineer. During his tenure at MTN, he contributed significantly to the preparation of technical bid documents for GSM network operating licenses across various continents, resulting in the successful awarding of operating licenses in Cameroon and Nigeria. In 2000, he was seconded to head the transmission department of MTN Cameroon. Progressing through various roles, Tshepo concluded his time at MTN as a Group Senior Manager for Radio Access Networks. With a commitment to driving change and improving operational efficiencies in response to evolving customer and partner needs, Tshepo collaborates cross-functionally with teams across disciplines and departments to flawlessly execute the inq. strategy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Hult International Business School. Tshepo is a registered professional engineer in South Africa.
